Debora Oden

She is a nationally recognized printmaker. Her prints, dense with overlapping lines and subtle gestures, evoke movement, ambiguity, and poetic landscapes. Most recently, her exhibition Whistling in the Dark at ARTS Southeast’s Ellis Gallery showcased her process-driven monoprints that “spill, crash, and bounce” between beauty and conflict.

ARTS Southeast

Savannah’s Creative Anchor in the Southeast. Nestled in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District, ARTS Southeast is more than an arts organization; it’s a community engine. ARTS Southeast has stayed true to its mission: supporting creators, engaging diverse communities, and increasing appreciation for the arts at every level.

About Cause

ARTS Southeast is an artist-founded, artist-run nonprofit in Savannah, Georgia. Its mission is clear: to make Savannah a creative destination for the Southeast through bold programming, affordable studios, and a commitment to inclusion.

Our two galleries—The Ellis Gallery and the Supporter Gallery—showcase a rolling mix of exhibitions. The Ellis hosts six curated shows annually featuring regional and emerging artists, while the Supporter Gallery highlights local voices through three group exhibits each year.

Meanwhile, the Incubator Artist Initiative, established in 2024, supports one Savannah-based emerging artist each year with a full year of free studio space, exhibition opportunities, membership benefits, mentorship, and professional development.
