Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Foundation
The Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports the protection, research, and public awareness of Gray’s Reef, a federally designated marine sanctuary located about 19 miles off the coast of Georgia.
Its mission is to promote education, conservation, and community engagement around one of the Southeast’s most vibrant underwater ecosystems—home to hundreds of fish and invertebrate species. The Foundation partners with schools, scientists, and local organizations to advance marine research, citizen science, and ocean stewardship through outreach programs and fundraising efforts.
In essence, the Foundation connects people to the ocean by inspiring learning, conservation, and lasting support for Gray’s Reef and Georgia’s coastal environment.
