Tybee Island Marine Science Center
Established in May 1988, originated from marine education programs started in 1987 by the University of Georgia Marine Extension Service. The growing interest in these initiatives underscored the need for a dedicated facility. Volunteers and interns are vital to the Center’s daily operations and success.
